The Employment Insurance System (SIP) aims to provide immediate financial assistance to contributors who have Loss of Employment (LOE) while facilitating their return to the workforce through Re-employment Placement Programme (REPP) and enhancing their employability through comprehensive vocational training.
Eligibility Requirements

SIP Benefit Eligibility

Citizenship and Residency Status
Malaysian citizens, Permanent Residents (PR) or Temporary Residents (TR) working in the private sector or as domestic workers.

Age Limit
Employees aged 18 to 60 years (except for individuals aged 57 and above who have never contributed before).

Registration under Act 800
Employees must be registered under the Act 800.

Contribution Requirements
Must meet the minimum number of monthly contributions within a specified period.

Loss of Employment Criteria
Individuals who meet definition of loss of employment (LOE) under the Act 800.

Ready for re-employment
Fit for work, willing, and actively engaged in job search.
Job Search Allowance (EMP)
Early Re-employment Allowance (EBSA)
Reduced Income Allowance (EPB)
Mobility Assistance Allowance (EBM)
Payment of Benefits to Dependant (BFOT)
Training Allowance (EL)
An allowance paid to Insured Persons (IP) who attend training.
Loss of employment (LOE) application has been approved except for EPB recipients.
Attend training sessions conducted by training providers registered with PERKESO
Payment rate of RM10-RM20 per day based on attended training days.
